Product Description

This is an original PDF pattern for machine knitting of this tunic!

You cannot imagine how fun, fascinating and easy it could be to make a unique, stylish and seemingly complicated garment!

This masterclass, accompanied by more than 70 pictures, will guide you step-by-step through the inspiring journey of knitting a tunic on a manual knitting machine.
It will detail the deepest secrets, personal techniques and shortcuts developed through the lifelong experience of a fashion designer.

Who is this book aimed at?
You should have some basic knitting experience and a great love of machine knitting.

This tunic is made on a Bulky gauge manual knitting machine (9.5mm needle-to-needle space, 100 needles bed), with 4 threads of 32/2 cotton yarn.

Underarm round bust measurement is 112cm. The length from the top of the shoulder to the end of the tail of 80cm. The difference between the end of the tail and the bottom of the tunic is 20cm. Though, exact data is very dependent on machine, threads and densities.

This tunic has adjusting guidelines for Standard machine (upon request). There, the total length will be 100cm and difference between the end of the tail and the bottom of the tunic will be 30cm.

Additional bonus instructions for scaling up and down are available.

What will you learn?
# To knit a garment, made up of separate pieces, using the sequential transversal-knitting technique*.
# To knit a sleeve using the transversal knitting technique*.
# To make a raglan sleeve connected to a knitted garment without the need for a sewing machine.
# To make flowing down knitted fabrics.
# To connect knitted pieces using the knitting machine only.
# To enliven a knit by adding color effects.
# And many more tricks!

* I call “transversal” the knitting when a garment is built perpendicular to the “regular” down-to-up direction. Transversal knitting is actually built from side to side.

Today you can find a plenty of patterns for knitting on machine; however, most of them are a bit “old-fashion”.

Through 25 years of working as a fashion designer, I have developed a completely new knitting techniques and methods that could not be found anywhere else. This book teaches you to knit a tunic. In fact, it is composed of a number of singular master classes that will expose you to a whole range of new knitting perspectives. Parts of this book can be used independently, so you will be able to knit other kinds of knitwear, as cardigans, jackets, dresses.

The pattern is available on Russian upon request!
